Grade 4 £26,403 to £28,142 per annum inclusive of all required boiler security checks, up to 15 alarm call outs per year, travel time and expenses
Working a 37 hour week all year round on a split shift system. Shift Pattern is 6am – 10am and 2.30pm – 6pm, however, part-time working will be considered
Redby Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated person who will provide a key role in maintaining our school site, to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community.
Duties will include:
· Opening and closing the schools each day and carrying out security checks
· Carry out and record statutory checks and maintain health and safety checks
· Maintenance of property and grounds to a high standard including liaising with contractors and the neighbouring school
· Contribute to the development of the schools Health and Safety Policy and Practice
· Health and Safety compliance of the site and premises
· Monitor site stock and ordering of supplies
· Carry out maintenance and repairs as required
· Manage a team of cleaning staff and carry out cleaning duties as required
· Act as a key-holder
The successful candidate will be keen to maintain our school environment to a high standard to support children’s learning. They should be able to work effectively as part of a team, look after the safety and cleanliness of the site and also have the ability to work on their own initiative in recognising jobs that require attention, prioritising their own workload, undertaking lifting, moving and handling duties and be willing to undertake training and development.
