We are delighted to be offering an exciting opportunity to join Ridgeway Primary Academy’s amazing SEND Team as the teacher leading our SEND Unit. You will have the privilege and responsibility of bringing our curriculum to life for our fantastic children, helping them to be ready for lives filled with success.
Ridgeway is a popular, inclusive 2-form entry primary school with 460 on roll at the heart of a vibrant and supportive community. Our school motto is, ‘Proud, Unique, Ambitious’: we recognise the different strengths of our children and we help them to unlock their potential – and children and staff alike are proud of that achievement.
We have developed an Enhanced SEND Provision over recent years and this will, in September, become a SEND Unit. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and energetic teacher to work closely with our SENDCo to lead this provision. Applicants will have a proven track record of successful teaching and learning in a primary setting and this post is not suitable for ECTs.
In addition, the successful candidate will:

Be committed to supporting children with additional needs;
Have a secure understanding of curriculum and how to engage children in learning to secure good progress;
Be a teacher who never gives up on children;
