Pay scale N6 £32,597 - £35,412 per annum, salary is pro rata to weeks worked
37 hours per week, term time only, 5 training days and 5 additional days

Walker is an oversubscribed secondary school with 1100 students on roll and this number is predicted to increase over coming years. We are seeking an outstanding Pastoral and Academic Mentor to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team and play a key role in ensuring our students are supported both academically and pastorally and to ensure we meet the needs of our students.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Having overall pastoral responsibility for an allocated group of students within an allocated house/year group.
Setting high standards and expectations in student behaviour, attendance and appearance.
Supporting students’ academic and pastoral progress by intervention and interaction in classrooms during identified periods.
Communicating with parents regarding a range of issues.
Ensuring all students are offered pastoral and academic guidance, mentoring and counselling where required so that they can maximise their potential.
Ensuring accurate and effective pastoral records are kept on all students.
